of Your Board of Education

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION WITH THE BOARD -- This is an opportunity for board members to meet with district faculty, staff, parents and other members of the community on an informal basis throughout the school year. Get the 2003-04 schedule of coffees here. Board members want to know what's on your mind when it comes to our schools, so please stop in at one or more of these get-togethers -- even if it's just to say hello!

BOARD SALUTES DAN LUCCA WITH THE
2003 BOARD RECOGNITION AWARD --

Mohonasen's Board of Education presented retiring Principal Dan Lucca with it's Board Recognition Award at its annual picnic on June 25. Lucca was honored for his long and outstanding service to the students and families of Mohonasen -- as a teacher, coach, high school dean of students and -- for the past 14 years -- as principal of Draper Middle School. The board's annual picnic for staff and volunteers is designed to celebrate the year's accomplishments and to thank Mohonasen faculty, staff and volunteers for their service and hard work during the prior year. Lucca is pictured above (front row, second from right) along with the seven members of the 2002-03 Board of Education and Mohonasen's Superintendent of Schools.

BOARD RECOGNITION AWARD -- The Mohonasen Board of Education has established a Board Recognition Award that celebrates individuals who have displayed extraordinary service to the district, or have brought outstanding recognition to Mohonasen. This may include a faculty or staff member, student, volunteer, or resident of the community. The award stands as the highest recognition the Board bestows.
