While on
college winter break, a number of former Mohonasen High School students came back to their “old stomping ground” to talk to students in Mr. Coupas’ class about what life is really like after high school — particularly at college.
The teens talked about topics such as choosing the right professor, finding the balance between schoolwork and going out, and how to make friends.
“College is when you’re setting the foundation to make change,” said one student. “You find that it’s time to grow up.”
The former students agreed that life after high school is what you make of it. Whether you go to college or directly to work, they gave the advice of being open-minded because it’s a great time to discover who you want to be, and sometimes in that discovery, you find out who you don’t want to be.
