The
Mohonasen Class of 2007 celebrated their life at
Mohonasen and looked forward to life after high
school at the 48th graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 23
at Proctor's Theatre.
Seniors Christopher
Guidarelli, Jennifer Mattice, Claudia DeMartino and
Christopher Satterlee spoke at commencement after
placing in the annual Graduation Speaker Contest back in
March.
Superintendent Dr.
Kathleen Spring spoke about the power of a positive
attitude and ended with a quote from the song
"World" by Five For Fighting:
"What kind of world do you want
Think anything
Let’s start at the start
Build a masterpiece
Be careful what you wish for
History starts now"
Mohonasen
High School Principal Patrick McGrath reflected on the
school year while displaying a newspaper article of a
plan for the Mohonasen Central School District from
1957. He said that while the design of the school is
different from the way the district actually looks now,
the vision was always the same. He wanted the graduates
to keep their vision of their own future, but stressed
that it's okay if the path changes along the way.
The Mohonasen High
School Band, the Orchestra, Choir and the Select Choir played
throughout the ceremony.
Best wishes to the
Mohonasen Class of 2007!
