Girls' soccer team receives national recognition

The 2007 Mohonasen girls' soccer team was recently one of 12 teams in the state and 402 teams in the country to be honored by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America for its academic record.
A total of 148 boys' teams and 254 girls' teams nationwide earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2007-08 academic year. To qualify for the award, a team had to have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year.
The Mohonasen High School 2007 Varsity Girls' Soccer team was one of 12 teams in the state and the only team in Section II to qualify for this award. This is the third time in a row the Lady Warriors have won this award. The team had an overall GPA in the 2007-08 academic year of 3.31.
