Draper
recognizes stand-out students at Nov. 25 appreciation breakfast
Nov. 25, 2008
Draper Middle School recognizes outstanding students twice a year at
a Student Appreciation Breakfast. This year’s fall breakfast was
held on Nov. 25.
According to Draper Principal Debra Male, the Appreciation Breakfast
recognizes students for their good attitude, leadership,
sportsmanship and citizenship rather than academics. “These are
students who truly stand out, as they have ‘risen to the top’ with
their outlook and demeanor. They truly are a role model for other
students.”
Students are announced the morning of the breakfast and parents are
called ahead of time to “surprise” the students by attending the
breakfast. Teachers present each student with a certificate and talk
about the qualities of each student. Congratulations to those
students who were recognized!
