The 18th annual Graduation Speaker Contest for the Class of 2008 was held on Thursday, April
10.
Speaking candidates in the contest included John Anderton, Brett French, Jackie
Gunn and Brittany Tommasone.
Judges for the competition included George Amedore, Assemblyman to the 105th Assembly District, FOX 23’s Rich Becker, and Erin
Breslin and Susan Whitaker from the Schenectady County Museum.
The two winners of the competition were Jackie Gunn and John Anderton.
They will both be keynote speakers at this year’s commencement ceremonies at Proctors Theater on Saturday, June
28. Brett French will give the greeting at graduation and Brittany Tommasone will deliver the farewell for the ceremony.
