 On March 26, approximately 75 people gathered together to recognize and celebrate the many different cultures within the Mohonasen community at the district’s first ESL (English as Second Language)/International Club Diversity Celebration.
ESL students and their families prepared a dish to share from their native country, and local sponsors helped with the rest.
There are 15 ESL students in grades K-12 within the Mohonasen district, who represent 10 different countries.
The district plans to hold a second celebration next fall.
