 Please join us on
Saturday, May 17 as students, staff, parents and
community members gather at Draper Middle School to
celebrate a full day of non-stop fun and learning.
The day gets off to an
energetic start at 8:15 a.m. with a one-mile walk in
conjunction with the Amber Teta Memorial
5K Run set to begin at 9 a.m.
Throughout the day, a
variety of musical performances and educational
activities will keep attendees of all ages entertained.
Activities include a live animal display, antique car
show, geography and spelling bee challenges, Operation
Child ID, craft fair, musical entertainment, and much
more! The Duanesburg Skydiving Team will be “dropping
in” around 3 p.m. on the soccer field. East Coast Groove
Band will be performing from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and Grand
Central Station Band will perform from 7 p.m. to dusk.
The day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks
display at 8:15 p.m.
Bring your appetite because
there will be a
variety of food vendors as
well.
Community Day is
sponsored by the Mohonasen Foundation for Excellence,
and proceeds from the event will help support the
Foundation’s work.

families for the 2008-09 school year. Look for the
orange bus from 1-5 p.m. on Community Day to deposit any
