Volunteers from Draper Middle School visited area seniors to help them with chores and yard work on Make A Difference Day on Oct. 28, 2017.

Students from Draper Middle School rolled up their sleeves to help seniors citizens living in Rotterdam to mark “Make a Difference Day,” one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide on Saturday, October 28, 2017. About 35 eighth grade students volunteered to rake leaves, wash windows and help out area senior citizens in need of some assistance.

A small group of students went to the Rotterdam Senior Center recently to talk about the services they could provide. The students asked seniors to fill out cards with their contact information and details about what jobs they needed done. Those students then visited about ten homes Saturday to help with those requested chores. We are Mohon Proud of all of their effort!
