Mrs. Berschwinger's Teaching
Philosophy of Teaching
All children are unique individuals.
They come to school with varied experience, knowledge, and insights into
learning. Therefore, each child may learn in a different way and at a
different rate. My goal is to vary instruction to insure that each child
reaches his/her full potential and puts forth maximum effort. In my
reading room, children are continuously flexibly grouped so that each lesson can
be geared toward similar reading strategies. As Mrs. Weidl says, "Teaching
is rocket science." It takes constant reflection,
assessment, and implementation. It is not alike for any two children.
I think it truly is an art.
