Mrs. Berschwinger's Education

I graduated from Guilderland Central High School in 1993 with honors.  I attended Lynnwood Elementary School and Farnsworth Middle School.  My teachers, along with my parents, fostered a love of learning in me!

Far above Cayuga's waters, I attended Cornell University for four years.  I received a bachelors of science in Human Development and Family Studies in 1997.  I took teaching courses at Cortland College for two summers to get my teaching certificate.  I would not trade my education for anything in the world.  It is so important to me and one of the reasons I became a teacher!

I received a Masters in Reading from SUNY Albany.  I take pride in my coursework and all that it entailed.  I was a reading tutor for the Arbor Hill Summer School program in Albany for my last practicum.  My tutoring experiences were intense and prepared me to be a Reading Specialist.
