Second Grade Mathematics

The Everyday Mathematics program was developed at the University of Chicago.  This program was created to enable young students to learn more mathematical content and become life-long learners.  
Everyday Math utilizes a variety of strategies to capitalize on student interest and maximize their learning.  It is a hands-on program, with high expectations for all learners.  In second grade, the Everyday Mathematics content emphasizes the following skills and concepts: 
1. Numeration
2. Operations and Computation
3. Data and Chance
4. Geometry
5. Measurement 
6. Patterns, Functions, and Algebra
