Introduction

This is a Web Quest for primary level students to learn about astronomy . Students will be able to find answers to questions about the stars, planets, and astronomy.

Learners

Primary level students will learn about astronomy.

Resources

Students will use the computer with the Internet to gather information about astronomy. Students can work independently at school or home for this project. Students can participate in a full class instruction in a computer lab to benefit by using this site.

Standards

 Information Systems

Standard 2:  Students will access, generate, process, and transfer information using appropriate technologies.

Mathematics, Science, and Technology (MST)

Standard 4: Science Students will understand and apply scientific concepts, principles, and theories pertaining to the physical setting and living environment and recognize the historical development of ideas in science.

Process

Students will seek information from given web sites to answer given questions about stars, planets, and astronomy. Students may participate in activities focused on the astronomy theme. Students may use the site to link on to learn more about astronomy.

Evaluation

Students will apply new learning by successfully completing the tasks given on this site.
