Music, production students visit recording studio
Oct. 18, 2011
Students from the Advanced Placement Music Theory Class and the high school's Live Production class visited an Albany recording studio today. The studio, which houses both the White Lake Music and Post production company as well as the Voice Coaches Creative Development Group, is involved in television, film and other media production projects from around the United States and Canada. They also specialize in voice recording and training voice actors.
President and Creative Director David Bourgeois gave the students a tour of the state-of-the-art studio facilities, and also showed them how a commercial and voice recording are completed. Bourgeois urged students to pursue what they love to do and take extra steps to get experience in whatever field they might ultimately want to work in. Those extra steps, he said, can make a huge difference in your future.
