Mohon Masque to present "The Man Who Came to Dinner" Nov. 12-13
November 5, 2010
Mohon Masque will present the hilariously charming play, "The Man Who Came to Dinner," on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12 and 13. Performances begin at 7 p.m. both nights in the Mohohasen High School auditorium.
The three act comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hort is set in the 1930’s, in the small town of Mesalia, Ohio. It begins as the famous radio wit, Sheridan Whiteside is invited for dinner to the home of the wealthy Ernest W. Stanley and his family. As he is entering their house, however, Whiteside slips on a patch of ice outside the front door. With an injured hip preventing him from leaving, Whiteside is ordered by his doctor to spend the next few weeks leading up to Christmas at the Stanley residence. Over the course of the three acts, he is visited by a series of his celebrity friends coming to wish him well. Each of these colorful characters brings a unique energy and moments of chaos into the Stanley household.
Presale tickets are already available from members of the cast. Tickets will also be sold at the door both nights of the show. Tickets are $6 for students/seniors and $12 for adults. Please note, performances are Friday and Saturday nights only.
