Art gallery dedicated to first superintendent
2010-2011 Tenure recipients and retirees honored at reception
June 21, 2011
On Monday, June 20, the art gallery at Mohonasen High School was dedicated to Mohonasen's first superintendent, the late William B. Haessig.
Haessig was chosen to lead the district in September 1956, only months after the East Rotterdam Central School District was formed when residents of three local school districts voted to centralize. Not long after, the district was renamed the Mohonasen Central School District. Haessig served as superintendent until June 1962.
Also at the event, 19 tenure recipients and 10 retirees were honored. See photo gallery below to learn more.
