SUCCESS IS REQUIRED

   Everyday students are given many assignments and have opportunities to prove what they have learned.  Some of these assignments can be sheets for homework and some demand more time and effort.  Each quarter students are required to complete several tasks that are ESSENTIAL.  These assignments are what the students need to complete satisfactorily in order to earn a passing grade of 65 or higher.  For more information click here: Success is Required
 

What are the Essential Tasks for This Year

  There are approximately three or four essential tasks each quarter.  For a list of essential tasks click here:  Essential Tasks

 

What Happens if the Essential Tasks Are Not Completed Satisfactorily?

   If a student has not completed the Essential Tasks for a given quarter they will receive an "Incomplete" for their grade.  Letters will be sent home to parents explaining which Essential Tasks are missing and the student will need to complete the assignments to the satisfaction of the teacher. 
   If a student receives an "Incomplete" for a quarter they will be placed on Academic Probation.  This means they will be restricted from certain activities, such as:
                    1) Teen Town
                    2) Gym or outside during lunch
                    3) Participation in games or matches for school sports teams

Can students get off of academic probation?
Yes!  Once a student has completed all the Essential Tasks for a quarter to the satisfaction of the teachers, they will be taken off of academic probation.
