The Project As part of our study on the Great Depression, we will utilize this new website to better understand the difficulties Americans faced in surviving the decade of the 1930's. As a major part of this chapter's grade you will be responsible to do 4 projects as part of a group. The projects are titled as follows: 1. Survivors 2. Route 66 3. Dorothea Lange 4. Dust Bowl Groups will be preassigned by the teacher. After a general tour of the website, you will all receive computer and class time to research and prepare the projects. It may be necessary for you to work on your portion of the assignment outside of class. You may use your computer at home, the media center, or the computer labs at school (need to sign up!). Groups will meet together to choose and delegate the various projects to individuals within the group. Each individual is responsible for 1 project. The group, as a whole, should provide constructive feedback to individual members as they work on and complete their portion of the project. These projects should be done to the best of your ability, with each member of the group contributing equally. The website will be your source for all your information unless otherwise noted. Each individual project will be graded on a 25 point scale. The group will therefore receive a grade on a 100 point scale...the sum total of the four projects added together. Work hard. Work as a team.
