HOLOCAUST GLOSSARY: TERMS, PLACES AND PERSONALITIES This site may be helpful for finding out who a certain person was or what some of the unfamiliar words mean. GENERAL SITES HOLOCAUST ENCYCLOPEDIA - The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's online encyclopedia containing articles, film, photographs, individual histories, and survival testimony. MEDICAL EXPERIMENTS OF THE HOLOCAUST AND NAZI MEDICINE THE HOLOCAUST: A LEARNING SITE FOR STUDENTS - This site uses text, historical photos, maps, images of artifacts, and audio clips to provide an overview of the Holocaust. CYBRARY OF THE HOLOCAUST - This site is good, but you may have to use the site's search engine to find some of the links. This one has very good camp histories and links to the heroes and the rescuers of the Holocaust (Schindler, e.g.). C.A.N.D.L.E.S HOLOCAUST MUSEUM - This site is not able to be bookmarked at the best frame. Therefore, when the site is on the screen, click on the line to the left which says "Learn about the Holocaust". It will bring up another frame with choices such as THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS, ADOLF HITLER and JOSEF MENGELE. THE HISTORY PLACE - This site has biographies of Nazi leaders such as Hitler, Adolf Eichmann, and Rudolf Hess. Soon it may also have information on Hitler Youth. This site also has a World War II timeline and a Holocaust timeline which provide a large number of excellent links. If a date is not known, however, then you should skim the list and look for the "blue" words which indicate that there is a link to another site about that word. If you wish to go directly to the timeline, then just use this link instead. (Holocaust Timeline) HOLOCAUST
