Ancient Egyptian Cities

If you do not find the city you want below, go to the Grolier Encyclopedia  (find it on the Main Egypt page) and look up the name of the city for more information.

General Sites 
(Most of these sites have many of the cities you will need to research)

Color Tour of Egypt -click on the name of the city to see the information. The cities included are: Abu Simbel, Abydos, Aswan,  Dendera, Edfu, Giza, Kom Ombo, Luxor, Saqqara, and The West Bank/Luxor. read it carefully since this includes information about modern Egypt also.
Tour the Nile - A great website which provides information on each of 12 cities along the Nile and one page on The Nile itself. The cities are: Cairo, Giza, Saggara, Abydos, Dendara, West Thebes, Esna, Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae, Abu Simbel. Just click on the one you want to know about.
Houses and Villages of Ancient Egypt - This site describes what was important about many of the cities / villages.
