| April 10, 2018

Mohonasen will host a Community Conversation on School Safety at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Mohonasen High School. The evening will include a review of Mohonasen’s school safety measures. In addition, Scott Stark, Master Instructor for the New York State Division of Homeland Security Preparedness Training Center and former Washington County Deputy Sheriff, will provide insight on best practices in the field of school safety.

The evening will feature small discussion groups, and the district will respond to questions submitted by participants through an online form as time allows. Questions that are not addressed during the forum will be answered through a Q&A to be posted online after the forum.

“We want this to be a dialogue,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen A. Spring. “While we know the safety measures we have in place, it’s also important for us to hear questions and concerns from parents and community members.”

Registration is requested for this event for planning purposes, and residents may submit questions through the online registration form.

“We believe addressing student safety should be a collaborative effort, and we hope parents will join us on April 17,” said Spring.
