Choir Schedules 2009-2010

Combined 4th and 5th Grade Choir

 
This year, the Pinewood combined 4th and 5th grade choir will rehearse after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students need to sign up for ONE DAY OR THE OTHER, NOT BOTH.  Both sections will learn the same music and perform together. 

 

Many of our students both sing and play an instrument, so:

- A singer who plays a band instrument (which will have after school rehearsals on Tuesdays) should sign up for Thursday choir. 

- A singer who plays an orchestra instrument (which will have after school rehearsals on Thursday) should sign up for Tuesday Choir.

- A singer who doesn't play an instrument may sign up for either day.

 

There is bus transportation home, or parents may pick their children up at 3:40 p.m. in the lobby

 

Important Dates

Tues. May 15 - Budget Vote - 6:30 H.S. gymnasium.  Dress: nice school clothes

Sun. June 3 - Strawberry Festival - 1:00 p.m. H.S. auditorium.  Dress:  picnic clothes

Tues. June 5 - Spring Music Assembly, 9 a.m. H.S. auditorium.  Dress: nice school clothes

Wed. June 6 - Spring Concert - 7 p.m. H.S. auditorium.  Dress: dress up in your best

Thurs. June 14 - Flag Day Assembly.  Pinewood lawn, 9:15 a.m.  Dress: red, white and blue

 

Chamber Choir

Chamber choir begins in January.  It is taught at Pinewood by Mrs. Poutre and is by audition only.  It will rehearse after school on Wednesdays for students with parent-provided transportation.  There is no school-provided transportation home.
