There are over 14,000 items in the collection including books, periodicals, and Playaways. The Media Center has internet access, databases an automated circulation system, and an online public access catalog. Thirty-three 40 minute classes are instructed in the facility every other week by the librarian.
Circulation information:
Students may take out three items at a time. Students may have up to 5 items
checked out of the library at once. Exceptions are made for school
projects and special circumstances. All items circulate for a period of two weeks.
The Media Center is open for lending purposes from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. Students are encouraged to utilize the library throughout the
day. Students do not need to wait for their classes scheduled
library times.
*Those people who live in the Mohonasen/Rotterdam School District may
also check out materials and are considered COMMUNITY BORROWERS.
Community Borrowers have the same rules applied to them as do
students.
Overdue items and renewals:
All books and magazines have a two week
circulation period. Books may be renewed for another two week loan
period.
Students will not be allowed to borrow more materials until all
overdue items are returned or paid for.
BILLING:
STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THEY BORROW.
The student's family will be automatically billed for all items that
become 30 days overdue. Letters are sent by way of the U.S. mail.
Bills are sent out automatically for all items that are returned
damaged.
Students must pay for the replacement of all damaged materials before
their borrowing privileges can be restored.
