Music students attend statewide event

Mohonasen sends largest group in school history

Twenty-seven Mohonasen High School students participated in the Area All State Music Festival this past weekend in Saratoga Springs.

This group of students is among some of the most talented in our area. It is also the largest group Mohonasen has ever sent to this event.

Students are chosen for the festival by their NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) performance scores. This year’s students were all level 6 and were all-state level soloists (the highest level available).

Through this experience, the students had the opportunity to work with the very best from the Capital Region and beyond. The students spent a weekend in vigorous rehearsals with guest conductors from around the state and ended the weekend with a concert for their families and community members.
