Elementary schools planning school supply drive for Irene victims

Tropical Storm Irene left a lasting impact on many local communities and school districts. From Wednesday, Sept. 14 to Friday, Sept. 30, Pinewood and Bradt schools, as well as Juniors Girls Scout Troop # 2226, will be holding a School Supply drive for some of those districts affected by Irene.

If you would like to contribute, please place your item in a plastic bag labeled, School Supply Drive. Items can be brought in with students or dropped off at the school. Boxes will be placed in the front of both schools starting Sept. 14.

Below is a suggested list of school supply items. If you have any questions please contact either elementary school: Bradt, 356-8416 or Pinewood, 356-8449/356-8443

  • Art smocks

  • Black & blue pens

  • Loose leaf paper

  • Highlighters
