Mohonasen students attend Suburban Council Music Festival

Feb. 3, 2012

Forty-two Mohonasen students participated in the Suburban Council Music Festival on Jan. 13 and 14 in East Greenbush. "This group of students is among some of the most talented in our area," said Mohonasen music teacher Kimberly Kondenar. "It is also the largest group Mohonasen has ever sent to this event."

Students are chosen for the festival by their NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) performance scores and some by audition.
Through this experience, the students had the opportunity to work with the very best from the Capital Region and beyond. The students spent a weekend in vigorous rehearsals with guest conductors from around the state and ended the weekend with a concert for their families and community members.
