Select Choir spreads
holiday cheer
Jan. 6, 2010
This past holiday season, the Mohonasen High School Select Choir was busy caroling both in the district and in the community — and raising money for a worthy cause at the same time.
First, on Dec. 16, the group caroled as patrons came and left during buffet night at Mallozzi's Restaurant. At this event the group raised $55 for the North East Regional Food Bank. The funds were then matched by Crossgates Mall.
Then, on Dec. 18 the choir performed at series of secular holiday songs for an audience in the Bradt gymnasium. After singing, each student introduced themselves so their former teachers would be able to recognize them.
