Change for change: Donations to go to Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

Starting next week, the Mohonasen community will be doing its part to send relief to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The Mohonasen High School Key Club, working with various Mohonasen High School honor society groups and clubs, will be holding a "Spare Change for Change" fundraiser. Containers to collect spare change will be set up at each of the four schools from Wednesday, Jan. 20 to Friday, Feb. 5.

All members of the Mohonasen community are encouraged to get involved with this effort. All of the money collected will be sent directly to the American Red Cross .

Additionally, the Key Club will be collecting spare change at the Mohonasen Boys' Basketball Game on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Anyone who wishes to make a donation by check can send it to Latefa Lang at Mohonasen High School, 2072 Curry Road, Schenectady, NY 12303. Checks should be payable to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Visit the American Red Cross' Web Site for more information about how to donate.
