High school student at Times Union newspaper buildingStudents in Mrs. Joseph’s, Mrs. Haynesworth’s, Mrs. McGowen’s and Mrs. Restifo’s class recently took a tour of the Albany Times Union newspaper building.

Greg Stapleton, educational services manager, brought students around to see what the reporters, staff members, and photographers go through to get a daily newspaper out to press. In addition, each student received a Times Union t-shirt.

The students are in the process of creating their own classroom newspaper, “The Mohonasen Gazette.” The class has “published” two editions to date.
