Two Mohonasen students place at SkillsUSA regional competition; Next step is states

Congratulations to Mohonasen seniors, Allen Potts and Steve Van der Wouden, for placing at the SkillsUSA Regional Competition at Schenectady County Community College and the Capital Region BOCES Career & Tech campus on March 17.

Allen won first place in Diesel Equipment Technology and Steve placed fifth in the Auto Service Technician category.

Both students will advance to the New York State SkillsUSA competition April 14-15 in Syracuse.

SkillsUSA is a national organization of career and technical education students that promotes leadership, professional and personal growth and service to school and community. Each campus of Career & Tech has a SkillsUSA chapter, with elected officers leading school events, fundraisers and preparation for local, regional, state and national competition in career and technical and professional areas.
