Band students take home championship trophies at Fiesta/Val competition

Congratulations
to 89 Mohonasen High School band students who competed and placed at
the Fiesta/Val competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, April
16-17.
The parade band and indoor guard both won the Championship Trophy in their respective categories. The stage band won first place in Division 3. The percussion ensemble placed second in the open division and received a “superior” rating. Lastly, the concert band was rated “excellent” in Division 4.
The Mohonasen bands competed against 10 other schools from the southeast.
“I was extremely proud of how all of the groups competed, but I was even more proud of how they behaved,” said Facilitator of Performance Arts (K-12) Keith Bushey.
