This past weekend the Mohonasen/Schalmont Boys' Varsity Swim Team traveled to Long Island for the 2009 Boys States Meet. After an impressive second place finish at sectionals in February, Coach Bill Mattola was able to bring four swimmers to the states meet.

Robbie Briske, Michael Dugan, Devin Hallam (Schalmont) and Nate Resila qualified for the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay.

The boys finished 12th overall in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:38:77. In the 200 Freestyle Relay they finished with an impressive 3rd place finish, with a time of 1:27:78. These finishes qualified all four swimmers for All American Consideration in both races.

Resila finished 43rd in the 50 Free with a time of 22:55 and 14th in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:01:37. Dugan competed in the 50 Freestyle, finishing 11th overall with a time of 21:40, which also qualified him for All American Consideration.

Competing in the 100 Fly, Dugan placed 5th with a time of 50:64, which qualified him for Automatic All American.
