High school student work shown at regional art exhibition; Mohonasen student wins Tansky award

Five Mohonasen High School students had their artwork featured in the 2009 High School Juried Art Exhibition, which was in the Mandeville Gallery at Union College from Feb. 14-March 1.
The exhibition highlighted student work from Albany, Schenectady and southern Saratoga counties. Each school is allowed to submit 25 works of art and jurors decide which pieces make it into the show.
One of the five students, Ryan Moran, was awarded the Tansky 3-D award. This award is presented annually in memory of Lori Tansky, a founding member of the exhibit and an outstanding art educator from Schenectady.
