Pinewood awarded Picturing America grant

Pinewood Intermediate students will soon enjoy a collection of 40 high-quality reproductions of American art thanks to a Picturing America grant awarded to the school.
Picturing America, an exciting new initiative from the National Endowment for the Humanities, brings masterpieces of American art into classrooms and libraries nationwide. Through this innovative program, students and citizens will gain a deeper appreciation of our country’s history and character through the study and understanding of its art.
The school will also receive a teacher resource book so that teachers will be able to find many creative ways to integrate the art resources into their classroom.
