Mohonasen family and friends to make strides against breast cancer; You can too
Sept. 18, 2008
On Sunday, October 19, the Mohonasen Family and Friends team will once again be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Washington Park.
The
Mohonasen Family and Friends team has been participating in this
event since 1996, and has been supported year after year by people
within the Mohonasen community, and their families and friends. Last
year the group raised $4,350, which all went directly to cancer
research.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer allows the American Cancer
Society to continue its mission to put an end to breast cancer and
to diminish suffering for those afflicted by the disease. The
American Cancer Society fights breast cancer on all fronts:
research, education, advocacy, and patient services. The American
Cancer Society is the nation's largest nongovernmental funder of
cancer research and has offices in 3,400 communities across the
country to assist patients and their families.
