Students learn the magic of reading
Sept.. 26, 2008
The
Bradt cafetorium was filled with laughter and children chanting “I
love to read” on Sept. 26 as educational speaker and magician, Cris
Johnson, talked to Bradt students about the importance of reading.
Johnson focused on three important messages during the reading
assembly:
Why it’s important to read at least 30 minutes each day;
How students can grow up to do anything with strong reading skills; and
Why it’s important to take care of books, especially library books.
Cards tricks, magic scarves and a little bookworm all helped Johnson get his message across to students, “how reading can help benefit in life.”
