Outstanding fundraising efforts earn Pinewood school special recognition

Pinewood school was recently named by Price Chopper’s Tools for Schools program a Top 100 school for the total value earned in Price Chopper’s five-state region.

For this honor, Pinewood received a Califone Wireless Presentation Pro PA System, which is already in use in the school’s computer lab and may be signed out to classrooms for in-class presentations. Pinewood parents, relatives and friends contributed more than 120,000 points to reach this achievement. This year, the points earned went to purchase new PE equipment. Registration information for next year’s program will be sent home in early September. Click here for more information about Price Chopper's Tools for Schools program.

  • Target Take Charge of Education program

A check for $87.39 was sent to Pinewood School. Target sends a portion of their receipts from the use of the Target RED card to the school designated by the card holder.

$4,905.09 is the GRAND TOTAL in “FREE” corporate fundraising cash earned this year. It’s “FREE” because parents, relatives and friends are willing to clip the logo off of a product that they are already using and submit this to our school. Students are the winners when families and businesses connect in such a positive manner.

  • Tyson Project A+ program: Send in any of the qualifying labels and our school receives $.24 for each label.

As always, if you have any questions about any of these fund-raising programs, please contact Ms. DeSiena at Bradt School or Mrs. Kline at Pinewood School.
