Bus Safety: Pinewood students learn from some of their own

Friday, October 5 Pinewood students attended a safety assembly where
they watched a video featuring Pinewood students demonstrating
various bus rules and appropriate and inappropriate ways to behave
on a school bus. (The video was produced by Mohonasen High School
students Ben McGrath and Doug Carlton.)

A special visit from Mr. Lucca, transportation director, led to a discussion of how accidents and other safety issues can be prevented when bus safety rules are followed. As an incentive to make bus safety a top priority, a party will be held for the students and the driver of the bus that has the fewest discipline referrals at the end of the school year. Pinewood administrators would like to remind parents to please reinforce positive school bus behavior with their children so that all of Pinewood's students remain safe.
