Physical Education
Medical Make-ups
PURPOSE:
To continue to educate our students about physical
fitness, wellness, nutrition and sport when they are unable to
participate actively in the physical education class.
BASIC PROCEDURES:
1. Bring the medical note to the nurse. She will fill out a Mohonasen Physical Education excuse.
2.
Bring the Mohonasen P.E. excuse to your Physical Education
Teacher.
3.
Your teacher will fill out an internet pass for you to bring to
the library.
4.
All medicals must go to the school library for the duration of
their assigned physical education period.
You may not go to any alternative locations to do this work. If
the library is closed report to room 27 or 47 to complete your make-up
work for the day. There is NO group work, you are to
complete the project ALONE!
5.
Students must sign in on the medical make-up sign in sheet.
6.
Students will then work on the designated PHYSICAL EDUCATION
assignment for the period.
7.
Failure to report to the library and sign in will result in a
CLASS CUT!
8.
Failure to work on the Physical Education
assignment alone will result in a student being assigned to Internal
Suspension.
9. You must HAND-IN your assignment to Ms. Backman or Mrs. Shaw AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.
PROJECT GUIDELINES:
1.
For every day under 1 month (1 to 10 class periods), the student
will complete an article critique on current events.
That means you will do one critique for each day that you are out
of class. They will be
worth 4 Points each.
2. For every MONTH a student is out of physical education, he or she will complete a Book Report (see bottom of page).
