2011 Art in Three Dimension show.

 

After a 2 year break the Art in Three Dimension show was back and at Mohonasen High School for the month of February. Nine high schools participated by submitting 136 pieces of work.  The work was adjudicated by sculptor Michael Wells and ceramic artist David Smyth. A total of 77 pieces were selected to be displayed in the art gallery at Mohonasen High School.

 

7 pieces of art were selected from these Mohonasen Students: Michelle Baldwin, Selby Smith, Rebekah Bolton, Linda Thompson, Brittney Fusco and Theresa Whittemore

2011 High School Regional Juried Exhibition

 

Emily Reutter's ceramic sculpture "Oscar" was selected for this years High School Regional Juried Exhibition at Sage College's Opalka Gallery.  A reception for the artists was held on April 1st.

3 sculpture pieces selected for the 2009

High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition.

 

3 sculpture students had work selected for the 2009 High School Regional Art Show at the Mandeville Gallery on the Union College campus.  The work was adjudicated by visiting artist Fernando Orellana,  Rachel Seligman the Director and Curator of the Mandeville Gallery  and theater professor Charles Steckler . Congratulations Ryan, Mike, and Michelle for having your artwork selected.  Ryan's sculpture "Scars"  was selected to receive the Tansky 3-D Award, which is an Award in memory of Laurie Tansky a founding member of the exhibit and an outstanding art educator from Schenectady.

13 pieces selected for 2008 3-D Regional
Juried High School Art Show.

11 students from grades 10-12 had work selected for Regional 3-D art show at Niskayuna and Schenectady High Schools.  Twelve high schools participated by submitting 330 pieces of work. The work was Adjudicated by local artists Jim Lewis and Audrie Sturman. 155 pieces were selected to be shown in the Nisk-Art Gallery at Niskayuna High School and the Butzel Gallery at the Schenectady Sayles School of Fine Arts.
