Jaime Murray received both her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Science in Art Education degrees from The College of Saint Rose, Albany, NY. She is currently painting and teaching private lessons out of her home in Rotterdam, NY. Jaime's permanent certificate allows her to teach grades PreK-12.
Jaime's passion primarily lies with creating oil paintings which explore everything from trompe l'oeil still life, landscape and portraiture to the expressionistic mark-making of her abstract and politically charged landscapes. See her samples below:

Studio in Art Guidelines:
This is a one-credit, full year course, necessary in satisfying graduation requirements in the Fine Arts and Music fields.
This course will explore three genres of study: Still Life, Portraiture, and Landscape, with an intensive hands on approach to learning the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. In most cases students will draw, paint, print or sculpt, while studying contemporary methods of practice in a variety of media.

Drawing and Painting Guidelines:
This is a one-credit, full year course elective which may be a student's second year choice for fulfilling a four year sequence in art. Advanced techniques in drawing and painting will be explored. Students will become well practiced in graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, tempera, acrylic, ink and watercolor. It is highly recommended that those pursuing a career in art take this course as a second choice in order to prepare for Advanced Drawing and Painting or Portfolio class.
