Drawing and Painting Deadlines:

Each Quarter will require one homework assignment, relevant to current practice.

 

Samples will be uploaded soon!

 

Quarter 1

Students will complete their "graph paper" abstract designs. In class they choose a one inch cube that becomes the inspiration for the eventual "Square Vision" paintings. Drawings are done in pencil first and completed in black sharpie marker.

 

Quarter 2

Students will draw one hand and one foot from life using at least 10 values. Both projects are worth 100 points. Samples to follow.

 

Quarter 3

Students will be required to complete "Square Vision" paintings. Deadline to follow.

 

Quarter 4

Students are given a choice of two projects: 100 points

• Create an acrylic painting based on three random words OR

• Create a group project and present for five minutes your ideas to the class at the end of the quarter

 

 

 

Note: Every incomplete class project becomes homework for students.
