Science Homework for January 12/13

 

Bring your scrapbook and a number two pencil to class for your Unit test on Plate tectonics.  You should have added details to your scrapbook pages during our review in class.

 

Next Thursday and Friday is our candyquakes lab.  If you are bringing in candybars, Twizzlers, and Hubba Bubba gum, remember to bring them to class.

 

ELA:  Poetry Packet needs to be completed.  We read prologue and Chapter one of Tuck Everlasting.  First three pages in Tuck packet done.  Read for 20 minutes

Science:  Start The Sun scrapbook page.  Finish diagramming and labeling the Sun. 

 

ELA:  You should be reading EVERY night!!  Study for Unit 15 spelling test.  Make sure the print partner on idioms is complete.  Work on success maker at home for 20 minutes

November 9th and 10th-

Science:  Gravity questions based on completed scrapbook page!!     Clean out Science notebook IF you were up-to- date on scrapbook pages!!!! 

 

ELA:  Read up to pages 102 in Your Lit Circle book.  Complete the pink scene setter page and your book mark.  Reread your scene that you are acting out for the class!  Study for your genre test!!

ELA November 10th:  yellow sheet and pink book mark for Lit Circle Book.  Study for Genre test!!  Spelling test next Friday!

All science classes should have their Moon phases calendar finished.  Make  sure Moon scrapbook page is complete.  cut out and staple Moon phases flip book!

ELA:  Read up to page 48 in your Lit circle book.  Prepare for your meeting.  Fill out Bookmark for those pages.  Work on your group spelling commercial.

 ELA-  Extra pattern spelling practice due Weds.  Fill out bookmark and questions on Lit Circle novel while reading up to page 24  due WEDS

October 20th-   ELA   complete pages 62 -65 in Kaplan Book.    Study for spelling unit 4   Test tomorrow .    Dragon Slayer Help Wanted Ad due tomorrow

 

Science:  Observe the moon.    Sketch what it looks like.  Bring mini oreos or six regular oreos to class on Monday or Tuesday of next week!!  We will be doing a Moon Phases Lab using oreos.  You will be able to eat them when we are done.  If you want, bring milk or water too.

 

 

 

ELA: 

October 18th and 19th

 

            ELA:  Study for spelling quiz on Friday.  Dragon Slayer Help Wanted Ad due Friday.  Storm Story due Friday.

 

Science:  Start observing the Moon.  You should either sketch a picture or describe what you see each night.  You may clean out the green packet from your science binder.  You should have a new BLUE packet on the moon.

  

October 13th-

 

          ELA:    Finish character trait chart  chart from Dragon/Dragon   and complete the plot map

 

        Science:   Take home test on Solar Arc and Seasons

October 12th-

 

ELA:  Finish characterization chart on the Cat in the Hat

             Unit 4 Spelling extra pattern practice; and of course read for at least 20 minutes!

 

Science:  You should have the first two scrapbook pages completed and you will have a take home test on those pages due next science class.  You will also have

ELA:  Read and write me a reading response letter similar to the one I wrote you.  It should fill up most of one page.   Have a great weekend and play outside!!!

You should have your Rotation and Revolution scrapbook page completed and start on your seasons page.  The standards are in your white packet with your other scrapbook info. in it.
