8th graders:  Career Day is Friday 3/19 and it is mandatory for all 8th graders to attend. Please be sure to turn in your permission slips and lunch $ to your 1st period  "D" day teacher as soon as possible. If you have any questions see Miss McTighe

 

7th grader: All 7th graders need to have a physical by the end of March. 57 students have not had a physical. Your physical or a date your physical will be done must be brought to the nurse by 3/22. Those who do not will be examined by our school doctor.

 

6th graders: 

Attention Comets: Students of the month: Brianna Volans, Nicole Izzo, Michael Carnavos, and Chris Radliff. These students have demonstrated leadership skills, responsibility and a positive attitude. Please see Mrs. Coelho for your prizes.

Library Trivia Question for the week of 3/8 - 3/12 Next Friday, the popular children's book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" will hit theaters. In honor of its release the next two trivia questions will focus on the book with a special prize awarded to the winner. What is the name of the school play that Greg's school is putting on?

Reminder to all students - The wearing of flannel pants or pajama bottoms is not allowed by the school dress code. Any student wearing pajama bottoms will be sent to the office and will have to call home for a change of clothes.   

This is ATTITUDE month. A positive attitude has allowed the US Hockey Team to defeat Canada in the Olympics. Think of what you can accomplish with a good attitude..  Turn it up a notch.

 "March Madness" Teen Town will be this Friday, 3/12. Watch for details about signing up to play basketball!!! All grade levels will play! 8th grade winner will play a faculty game in April!

Congratulations to 6th grader Jason Gage. Jason has qualified to represent our school and participate in the state level of the National Geographic Bee! The competition will take place at the NYS Museum in Albany on 4/9. You have made us very proud Jason! Good luck in the next level!

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY is selling SHAMROCKS to raise money for the MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION. Help decorate our lobby and purchase a shamrock for a worthy cause. They are only $1 each. Thank you for your support.
