What is an Elementary School Counselor
When the word counselor comes to mind many of you think back to your high school days where the counselor helped you with your class schedule, test preparation, career exploration and problems that you were concerned about. At the elementary level the school counselor is here to listen and help your child whether they are having a problem with a friend, learning how to make new friends, learning how to get along with others, how to deal with feelings and tough situations or confused about changes that are going on at home. I will take every problem seriously. I will help your child come up with the best solution to fix and/or deal with the problem. Your child may see me during breakfast and lunch, out on the playground, in the classroom and even outside when the buses arrive and depart.
