Beginnings

This team is working to promote a solid early learning foundation and readiness skills among all children entering school. Members sponsor the annual kindergarten orientation program. The Beginnings team has developed a "Welcome to Kindergarten" brochure for district parents, a Kindergarten Tool Kit for parents to use with their preschooler, and a Beginnings Web site located by accessing the Bradt School Web page.
Beginnings also sponsors the preschool story hours each spring and promotes greater participation in the 1000 Book Club Project among district preschoolers. The team also works to promote a variety of ways to help parents build math and early literacy skills with their preschooler.
