Mohon Masque fall show, "Little Shop of Horrors"

The Mohonasen theater group Mohon Masque is pleased to announce that this year's fall show will be the famous Off-Broadway musical "Little Shop of Horrors." Performance dates are set for Nov. 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. in the Mohonasen HS Auditorium.

Advanced ticket sales will take place on Nov. 8 from 4-8 p.m. in the pool lobby. Otherwise, tickets are available on show nights at the door.

The cost is $6 for students, $8 for senior citizens and $12 for adults.

Interests/Hobbies: Marching band, school plays, school wrestling, music

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? My favorite thing is being with all my friends and having a good time. Also, that I get to use three of the four puppets.

What are your plans for after high school? To go to college for pre-law. I want to ultimately become a lawyer. It’s a career I find interesting and think I will do well with.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? My best friend is Chilean.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? Being able to spend so much time with my Mohon Masque family. Little Shop is a very unique show so I like being able to portray a character who is my polar opposite.

What are your plans for after high school? I plan on attending SUNY Cobleskill for four years to study equestrian rehab, then transfer to Cornell University’s Medical School. I want to be an Equestrian rehabilitation practitioner. I’ve always loved working with animals, and I really love horses. This career will allow me to travel as well.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? Honestly, there isn’t much. People can read me like a book.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? My favorite thing has to be working with such an amazing cast. Mohon Masque is one big family!

What are your plans for after high school? I plan on attending college and majoring in music industry or music education.

Interests/Hobbies: Singing, dancing, acting, finding amazing music and artists, cupcakes, baking, making good, healthy decisions, and learning French and other languages.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? Being able to have attitude while singing and acting. I’ve always been the sweet character (more or less). I also like the chord during “Peoria” in the last song of the show, “Finale Ultimo/Don’t Feed the Plants.”

What are your plans for after high school? I am hoping to get accepted to American Musical and Dramatic Academy to major in musical theater. I will hopefully go on to more performances and maybe even inspiring someone else to follow their dreams. I would like to be an actress (not in movies) because theater is the one thing I’ve stuck with throughout my school life. I’ve tried other things, but I always lose interest. My dream roles are Sophie in “Mamma Mia!” and Jamina in “Cats.”

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I do not have a favorite genre of music and I do not generally like pop culture. The 50s had the best fashion and culture.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? Being able to sing into a mic and dance all the time. The show’s music is so much fun.

What are your plans for after high school? Attend a 4-year college to pursue my masters in history/music education. I would like to become teacher or professor of music or history. I love both music and history and love working with kids.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? The music!

What are your plans for after high school? I want to (hopefully) go to New York University or Pace University in New York City for performing arts and get on Broadway and in TV shows/movies. I’ve wanted to be on Broadway and TV my whole life!

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I go to New York City on average probably twice a month to go on auditions that my manager calls me for.

Interests/Hobbies: I enjoy doing school dramas, band and choir. I also help out a lot at my church.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? I really love the honest humor about it. When done right, you feel like you’re in our story. It’s an excellent drama.

What are your plans for after high school? I actually intend to go to West Point or take ROTC at a SUNY school. I also really want to have a family. I would like to be an officer in the army, but I am sure I will continue to make music as it is one of my great loves.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I love biking, especially distance biking. It’s an excellent way to get exercise and you get a sense of freedom and it really relieves stress.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? My favorite thing about Little Shop is that I get to play a character who is very different from me.

What are your plans for after high school? I plan on attending a four-year school and then go on to graduate school. I want to be either a physician’s assistant, do something with economics or be a teacher. I would also love to be superman.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? People would be surprised to know that I used to play saxophone and I play drums and jazz piano.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? My favorite thing about Little Shop is how well the characters fit the people who are playing them. I also love how we joke around and have fun while still making the show as good as it is.

What are your plans for after high school? I am going to Hudson Valley for two years for criminal justice to study criminology. After that, I’m going to California—maybe to further my studies. I also want to go into the National Guard.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? People would be surprised to know pretty much all of the random information I know.

What is your favorite thing about Little Shop of Horrors? It’s a really unique show. It’s like a funny tragedy. There’s really nothing flashy about it, except the trio, which occasionally comes out of the story and expresses their sassy attitudes.

What are your plans for after high school? Right after graduation I plan on spending the summer going on trips with friends and family before going away to college. I’m planning to go to a SUNY school. I know I want to go into the music field, but I haven’t decided specifically what I’m going to do.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? Last year a lot of people were surprised that I had such a big voice despite my small frame.

What are your plans for after high school? Hopefully going to Pace or Elon University as a musical theater major. I want to be on Broadway because my life is the stage. I absolutely love everything about performing.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? My idol is Barbra Streisand.
