Mohonasen
Board of Education adopts proposed 2008-09 budget — The
Mohonasen Central School District Board of Education
unanimously adopted a proposed $41.9 million budget for
the 2008-09 school year during its April 21 regular
meeting. District residents will vote on the proposed
plan on Tuesday, May 20 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at
Mohonasen High School.
Spending in the
proposed budget is up by $1.6 million over the
current-year budget. That translates to a 4.065 percent
budget-to-budget increase, with an estimated tax levy
increase of 2.60 percent.

budget, voters will elect two candidates to serve on the
Board of Education and consider a proposition to replace
six school buses. Read

of Education recognition nominations due June 2
—
The Mohonasen Board of
Education recognizes individuals who have displayed
extraordinary service to the district each year. If you
know someone who fits this description, download
a nomination form and return it to the Office of the
Superintendent by Monday, June 2, 2008. The nomination
form can also be mailed to the attention of the Board of
Education at the Mohonasen Central School District, 2072
Curry Road, Schenectady, NY 12303.

At its regular meeting on Monday, August 13, the Mohonasen Board of Education presented School Resource Officer Ptl. Jeff Jackson with the Board of Education Recognition Award.

Need directions to the Farnsworth Technology Center? —
Most Board
of Education meetings are held in the Farnsworth
Technology Center in Mohonasen High School. This
room is also sometimes called the "LGI" (short for
Large Group Instruction hall). From the main lobby of
the high school, turn RIGHT and proceed down the
hall. At the library lobby take a LEFT and proceed
down that hall. At the end of the hall take a RIGHT
after the cafeteria (Cafe "B") and the Farnsworth
Technology Center will be on your left.
