Joe Salamone is serving his third year on the Board of Education. A resident of the district for more than 17 years, he is a 2005 graduate of Mohonasen.
Joe is currently a Junior at the State University of New York at Albany, majoring in Public Policy and Management, with a concentration in Policy Analysis. He aspires to attain a degree in law.
In his capacity as School Board Member, Joe has had the opportunity to attend three NYSSBA Annual Conferences, serve both as a member of the Capital Area School Boards Association and a State Legislative Network Representative for the District.
While at Mohonasen, Joe was president of the Mohonasen Marching Band and he is active in Boy Scouts of America. He recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
Joe and his family are parishioners at St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. His older brother, Frank, is a Mohonasen graduate and student at Hofstra Law School, and his younger brother, Michael is in 6th-grade at Draper Middle School.
