Julie M. Adamec is serving her second year of her first term on the Board of Education.

She has been employed by the Guilderland School District since September 2000 where she is a secretary in the Athletic Department and serves as the district-wide facilities coordinator.

Adamec is a graduate of Mohonasen, and holds a certificate in Hotel Management and Business Administration, and an Associates Degree in Business Administration and Management.

Adamec is the homeroom mom for her son's first grade class at Bradt and is currently a member of the Playground Committee and the Mohonasen PTO. She has coached both JV girls' basketball and modified softball within the district, and has also coached within the Rotterdam Girls' Softball League, the Rotterdam Youth Soccer League, the Carman Little League and has been involved with the Guilderland YMCA as a coach for youth baseball and basketball. Adamec volunteered to help the Guilderland YMCA in their effort to raise money for the Reach Out to Youth Campaign, and has participated in 5K runs to help autism, breast cancer and scholarship donations, such as the Amber Teta Run.

Adamec and her husband, Michael, have one child: Jonathon, who is a second-grade student at Bradt.
